Below children will find their ‘placemats’ which give the language patterns that they should be able to use confidently by the end of each year group. It is a good idea for children to look at their placemat on a daily basis just for 10 to 15 mins, practicing a few phrases. Maybe they can teach somebody these phrases or ring a member of the family and try to teach them.
