Key Worker Access to School Hubs for Weekends & Holidays.
Dear Parent/Carer,
Although it only affects a small minority of our school community, I have been asked to share the following information with you by our cluster and by Monmouthshire CC with regards to those of you that are key workers and are eligible to access the childcare hubs that have been set up locally:
Any home where parents (and carers) need to access weekend care to allow them to continue with their key work, should email accessforlearning@monmouthshire.gov.uk or telephone 01633 644508 by a Wednesday each week to register their interest for the weekend that follows.
This means that parents and carers will need to register by the end of today (13.5.20) if they would like to access hub emergency childcare facilities this weekend (16th/17th May 2020).
I would also like to remind parents that any access of hub emergency childcare during the half term week of 23rd – 31st May 2020 will need them to register in the same way by next Wednesday 20th May 2020 at the latest, using the above registration method.
Weekday hub attendance and registration continues as normal. I would add the caveat that Welsh Government guidance states, “If children can stay safely at home, they should, to limit the chance of the virus spreading. That is why the government has asked parents to keep their children at home, wherever possible, and asked schools to remain open only for those children who absolutely need to attend.”
