WALT explore literature
This Thursday is World Book Day which is one of my favourite days!
This week we will be exploring World Book day through (if possible) your favourite book.
Today I want you to explore your favourite book! Look at the front cover, the blurb, main characters, settings, plot, theme, beginning, middle and end, look at the author/illustrator - who are they and what else have they done?
If you don't have access to books where you are I have attached a link to a virtual library where you can access links to different books online. You can choose to read a book that you already own, read your assigned book on Big Cat or choose from the virtual library attached.

WALT identify fractions
Good morning all, this week we will be looking at fractions and to begin with I want you to watch the video below to get a basic idea of what is a fraction.
Your task will be to either copy each grid and colour the fraction shown or if you are working on the computer can you put an x in the boxes to show which ones are shaded ( I don’t know how to colour in the boxes sorry!)

Competition Time!
We are challenging the children to create their favourite book character, either by decorating a potato or a cardboard toilet roll tube. To be in with a chance of winning a book voucher please could a photo of their completed book character be sent to their class teacher using ClassDojo. The deadline for entries will be on World Book Day, Thursday 4th March. The book characters will be judged and the winners announced on Monday 8th March.
