Our curriculum Mission and vision Statements
Our mission statement and curriculum vision has been developed by all. We have asked those that matter what matters. Discussions with children, giving them a voice in our curriculum design has been essential. We have also consulted with all staff, parents, and Governors. Our mission statement is:
‘To fire imagination, ignite curiosity and instill a lifelong love of the extraordinary’
Building on this statement of intent our curriculum vision statement was developed, this has and will continue to drive the development of our curriculum:
Our vision at Deri View is for a curriculum that opens the hearts, eyes and minds of all children to the world around them and their importance within it. A curriculum that celebrates differences and diversity, challenges prejudice and embraces individuality and uniqueness. A curriculum that is inclusive, innovative and inspirational, enabling all children to pursue their dreams. A curriculum that provides rich, authentic learning experiences, fosters an understanding of our children’s heritage, their place within our community and beyond in the wider world. A curriculum that develops critical thinkers, problem solvers, and confident individuals who live curiously throughout their lives.
